Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship Program
Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship Program, established in 2009, expands access to education by helping families afford the school that’s right for their child. Through the generosity of donors across the state, contributions are converted into scholarships for students who meet income eligibility guidelines—opening doors to opportunities that may not otherwise be possible.
The Institute for Quality Education is the largest of Indiana’s state-approved scholarship granting organizations (SGO), serving as a bridge between donors, families, and schools. We raise and steward scholarship funds, guide families through the application process, and ensure scholarships are awarded to eligible students.
Since the program’s launch, SGOs have helped more than 35,000 Hoosier students attend over 300 private schools, awarding more than $45 million in scholarships statewide.
